Background The Military Sealift Command (MSC) is seeking urgent support for the USNS Medgar Evers (T-AKE 13) to perform Forklift Inspection, Repair, and Certification for nine forklifts. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the material handling equipment (MHE) on board meets full operational and certification standards as required by military specifications. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Repair all deficiencies listed in CASREP MEV 2026017. 2. Conduct an annual inspection, test, and certification of the ship's material handling equipment (MHE) - specifically the forklifts. 3. Ensure compliance with operational and certification standards as outlined in relevant technical manuals and publications, including NAVSUP Tech Manual 0530-LP-642-6711 and others related to Hyster Fork Lift Trucks. 4. Provide all necessary labor, travel, and materials as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Place of Performance The work will primarily take place at Naval Weapons Station Earl, Pier, where the contractor must transport the forklifts from the vessel to their facility for inspection and repair.
