UNC Pembroke Campus Gas Line Replacement Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections

Background

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNC Pembroke) is seeking a professional services firm to provide construction materials testing and special inspections for the replacement of a section of subsurface natural gas piping. The goal of this project is to upgrade the existing deteriorating steel gas piping system located between North Hall and Locklear Hall to a corrosion-resistant High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. This upgrade will ensure that the new pipeline meets or exceeds the current system's capacity.

The contractor will be responsible for conducting construction materials testing and special inspections related to the replacement of the subsurface natural gas piping.
