Background

The State of Alabama, through the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer, is seeking contractors for tree removal services at Chewacla State Park. The park is located at 124 Shell Toomer Road, Auburn, AL 36830. The trees targeted for removal are dying or nearly dead and are situated on an easement. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe removal of these trees and the proper disposal of all debris.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the total removal of 25 trees, which includes: - Removal of 1 pine tree (approx. 85ft/30in) - Removal of 1 oak tree (approx. 55ft/15in) - Removal of 1 cedar tree (approx. 30ft/11in) - Removal of 1 oak tree (approx. 33ft/20in) - Removal of 1 oak tree (approx. 55ft/45in) - Removal of 1 oak tree (approx. 30ft/18in) - Removal of 1 oak tree (approx. 35ft/22in) - Removal of 1 oak tree (approx. 12ft/20in) - Removal of a cluster of 3 oak trees (all approx. 55ft/25in) - Removal of a cluster of 4 oak trees (all approx. 30ft/22in) - Removal of 5 sweet gum trees (all approx. 30ft/12in) - Removal of 1 oak tree (approx. 30ft/10in) - Removal of 1 oak tree (approx. 20ft/8in) - Removal of 2 oak trees (approx. 32ft/15in) - Removal of 1 oak tree (approx. 45ft/20in). The contractor must also haul away all debris resulting from the removals, including all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary for the completion of the work.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed following the mandatory site visit scheduled for May 18, 2026.

The work will be performed at Chewacla State Park located at 124 Shell Toomer Road, Auburn, AL 36830.
