Professional Investigative Genetic Genealogy Services

Background

Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement, on behalf of the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office, is seeking a qualified company or individual to provide Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) services. The goal of this contract is to assist in resolving unsolved homicides, violent crimes, missing persons cases, and unidentified human remains cases as directed by the Sheriff’s Office. The contractor must possess experience in genealogy related to diverse populations, including misattributed parentage, adoptions, adoptees, and various ethnicities.

Work Details

The contractor will provide Investigative Genetic Genealogy services which include but are not limited to: conducting genealogical research; analyzing genetic data; assisting law enforcement in identifying suspects or victims; providing expert testimony if required; and collaborating with the Sheriff’s Office on case investigations. The contractor must be adept at handling cases involving a variety of population backgrounds and complexities.
