Background

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to enter into a contract for the Mud Springs Access Road project in San Juan County. The goal of the contract is to provide services for placing granular borrow and untreated base course on a graded road. Provide, spread, and compact a 6-inch layer of Granular Borrow across the rough-graded roadway with a top width of 22.67 feet. Estimated quantity: 7,300 tons. 3. Provide, spread, and compact a 4-inch layer of Untreated Base Course above the Granular Borrow as the final roadway surface with a top width of 20.0 feet. Estimated quantity: 4,200 tons. The installation must include a cross slope of 2.0% from the centerline crown with side slopes of 4H:1V (25%). Payment will be based on quantities tracked via weigh tickets.

Period of Performance

Work shall begin after San Juan County completes rough grading and culvert placement, anticipated before July 13, 2026, and must be completed by August 14, 2026.
