SLCo Armored Car Services

Background

Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement, on behalf of the Treasurer’s Office, is inviting bids for Armored Car Services. The goal of this contract is to ensure secure transportation of cash collections from various Salt Lake County agencies to a designated bank for deposit. This service is crucial for maintaining the financial operations of the county.

Work Details

The winning bidder will be responsible for transporting cash collections, which include cash, coins, checks (personal checks, corporate checks, bank drafts, certified and cashier checks), securities, and other valuables. All deposits must be securely sealed or locked during transport, and a receipt must be provided to the agency at pickup before transportation. Pickups are to be scheduled as late as possible in the day to ensure same-day deposit credit at Wells Fargo processing center. Salt Lake County reserves the right to modify pickup locations with one week's notice.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon execution and will have a term of six (6) years.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within Salt Lake County, Utah.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of Salt Lake County. They are required to maintain specific insurance policies including workers' compensation, commercial general liability insurance, commercial automobile liability insurance, and crime insurance with specified minimum coverage amounts. Bidders are prohibited from subcontracting any contracted service without prior written consent from Salt Lake County’s Contracts and Procurement.
