Light Vehicle Bed Covers and Accessories

Background

Salt Lake City Corporation is seeking bids for the supply and installation of light vehicle bed covers and accessories. The goal of this solicitation is to competitively select qualified contractors to provide these products and services for light-duty vehicles owned by the City. This procurement process is governed by Salt Lake City Code 3.24 and Salt Lake City Administrative Rules for Procurement 53-1A.

Work Details

The contractor will provide light vehicle bed covers and accessories, including but not limited to: 1. Bed Covers compatible with Ford, Chevy, Toyota, and Dodge vehicles that are weather-resistant, durable, lockable, secure, and easy to operate. 2. Accessories such as bed liners (drop-in), bed rails and rack systems, toolboxes (crossover or side-mount), cargo management systems (tie-downs, dividers), lighting kits (interior bed lighting), tailgate seals or assist mechanisms, running boards, and winches. Installation must be performed by trained personnel ensuring all installations are secure, level, free of defects, do not interfere with vehicle operation or safety systems, and include proper sealing to prevent water intrusion. The contractor is responsible for removing any existing equipment if required.

Period of Performance

The contract will be for a term of five (5) years from the commencement date.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed city-wide in Salt Lake City, excluding the Salt Lake City Department of Airports and the Community Reinvestment Agency.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered with the State of Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code and comply with insurance requirements as outlined in the solicitation. Bidders are also required to submit a completed cost bid form through the Bonfire website. Additionally, bidders must not have any outstanding debts or obligations to the City.
