The 2nd Contracting Squadron, Barksdale AFB, hereby submits an intent to award a sole source notice. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-priced contract to ON DEMAND SECURITY CORPORATION for Paxton Locks Access Control Installation. This procurement action is being conducted in accordance with RFO 12.102, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Requirement. An extended description of the services being acquired is located in the PWS: *This notice does not constitute a solicitation document. Requests for such documents will not be considered. However, all information received after publication of this notice will be considered SOLELY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement in the future. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be evaluated to confirm or deny the decision to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. The Government will not pay for information received. Firms who desire to challenge this sole source action must submit an interest letter (email is acceptable) that demonstrates technical expertise, certifications, and authorization to compete for this acquisition. Background The 2nd Contracting Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to ON DEMAND SECURITY CORPORATION for the installation of Paxton Locks Access Control. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of RFO 12.102, which allows for a sole source award when only one responsible source can satisfy the requirement. The goal of this contract is to enhance building security and modernize access control infrastructure. Work Details The contractor will perform the following tasks as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW): 1. Door Hardware Installation: Remove and dispose of sixteen (16) existing crash bars from designated doors and install sixteen (16) new stainless steel crash bars, ensuring proper alignment, lubrication, and functionality testing. 2. Network Cabling: Install approximately 17,000 feet of Category 6 (CAT 6) network wiring servicing the sixteen (16) doors, with all wiring neatly managed and terminated at both ends. 3. Access Control System: Install five (5) new Paxton keypads at specified locations, connect a dedicated power source for each keypad, and integrate them with the existing access control system. The contractor must provide all necessary materials including crash bars, CAT 6 wiring, keypads, power sources, lubricants, springs, pins, fasteners, connectors, and wire hangers.
