Gym Equipment Installation and Repair Services for School Facilities

Background

The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school district in North Carolina and the 15th largest in the United States, serving approximately 161,000 students across 203 schools. The agency is seeking to secure a contract for Gym Equipment Installation and Repair services at various facilities owned, leased, or possessed by WCPSS. The goal of this contract is to ensure that gym equipment is properly installed and maintained to support the physical education programs within the district.

Work Details

The contractor will provide gym equipment installation and repair services, which include but are not limited to: mats, divider curtains, basketball goals, pull-up bars, height adjusters, and all associated parts. Vendors must be able to respond to urgent requests at all sites within 24-48 hours. The scope of work also includes providing documentation showing the cost of labor and materials per invoice to WCPSS.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and will continue through July 31, 2027. There is an option for WCPSS to extend the contract for up to two additional one-year periods based on program continuation and availability of funds.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various WCPSS facilities throughout Wake County, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must not be debarred from doing business with Wake County or the federal government. They must submit qualifications including years in business, office locations, and number of full-time staff available for service. Additionally, bidders must comply with E-Verify laws regarding employment eligibility and provide insurance certificates prior to commencing work.
