Bleacher Inspection, Preventive Maintenance, and Repair Services at District Facilities

Background

The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school district in North Carolina and the 15th largest in the United States, serving approximately 161,000 students across 203 schools. The district is seeking to secure a contract for Bleacher Inspection, Preventive Maintenance, and Repair services at various facilities owned or leased by WCPSS. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and functionality of bleachers across all district facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will provide annual bleacher inspection, preventive maintenance, and repairs at WCPSS facilities. Services include: - Annual bleacher inspection and preventive maintenance for approximately 4 elementary schools. - Annual bleacher inspection and preventive maintenance for approximately 30 middle schools. - Annual bleacher inspection and preventive maintenance for approximately 25 high schools. - Auxiliary gym inspection and preventive maintenance for approximately 3 schools. The contractor must be able to respond to urgent requests within 24-48 hours.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and continue through July 31, 2027. There is an option to extend the contract for two additional one-year periods based on program continuation and availability of funds.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various WCPSS facilities located throughout Wake County, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must not be debarred from doing business with Wake County or the federal government. They are required to submit qualifications including years in business, office locations, number of full-time staff providing services, relevant experience, cost/price proposals, and necessary documentation as outlined in the RFP. Additionally, bidders must comply with all applicable laws including E-Verify requirements.
