Procurement of Bulk Fuel for the Period 07/01/26 - 06/30/27

Background

Nicholls State University is seeking bids for the procurement of bulk fuel to support its vehicles and equipment for the period from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The university aims to establish a contract with a single vendor who can provide the specified fuel types at competitive prices based on current market rates.

Work Details

The contractor will supply the following fuel types as needed: - Regular Unleaded (87 min. octane) - approximately 12,631 gallons - LSD Road Diesel - approximately 2,000 gallons - HSD Off Road Diesel - approximately 500 gallons. Bidders must quote the current rack cost per gallon using the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) calendar day contract average price at the Convent/Garyville terminal on the date of bid submission. The bid will be awarded based on the lowest company mark-up over the OPIS price, which must remain constant throughout the contract period. Delivery locations include the Main Campus and Lafourche Crossing Farm, with deliveries required as soon as possible when ordered. The successful bidder must invoice based on OPIS price plus company mark-up plus applicable taxes.

The contract will be effective from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.

Nicholls State University, Thibodaux, Louisiana; specifically at Main Campus and Lafourche Crossing Farm.

Bidder Requirements
