Charlotte Water Tree Removal Services

Background

The City of Charlotte, NC is seeking proposals from qualified companies to provide tree and vegetation removal services for Charlotte Water. This initiative is a response to the need for such services due to water and sanitary sewer construction activities performed by Charlotte Water. The contract aims to ensure availability of emergency services during after-hours, holidays, weekends, and in the event of immediate disaster emergencies, such as natural disasters.

Work Details

The contractor will provide various tree removal services as outlined in the Scope of Services attachment. The services include but are not limited to: - Removal of trees and vegetation that interfere with water and sewer operations. - Emergency response for fallen trees or vegetation due to storms or other disasters. - Compliance with safety regulations during all operations. The contractor must ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the specifications set forth by Charlotte Water and adhere to environmental management practices.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on the effective date and will last for a period of three (3) years.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within the City of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered to do business in North Carolina. They are required to comply with the Charlotte Business Inclusion Policy, which includes commitments to subcontract with certified Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), and Women Business Enterprises (WBEs). Additionally, bidders must conduct background checks on employees assigned to work under this contract.
