Background

The City of Salt Lake is issuing a contract for the RRFB Installations 2023-2024, Job No. RDW23053. The project aims to enhance roadway safety through the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) and other roadway improvements. This work is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve traffic safety and pedestrian accessibility in various locations throughout Salt Lake City.

Work Details

The work includes furnishing and installing equipment, facilities, services, and appurtenances as indicated in the Contract Documents. Specific tasks include roadway improvements such as curb and gutter installations, medians, bulbouts, asphalt tie-ins, concrete flatwork, and the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons at various locations including but not limited to:

800 North 900 West

- Several other specified addresses in Salt Lake City.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to be substantially completed by midnight on November 20, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at multiple locations throughout Salt Lake City, Utah.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders are not required to be pre-qualified for this work. However, they must provide bid security equal to at least 5% of the total bid amount. Bidders must also comply with local licensing requirements and submit necessary documentation regarding health insurance coverage and workplace policies as outlined in the Salt Lake City Code.
