Northwest Drain - 600 North to 800 North

Background

The Northwest Drain project is initiated by the Salt Lake City Corporation's Department of Public Utilities, aimed at enhancing stormwater management in the area. The project focuses on replacing outdated infrastructure to improve drainage efficiency and prevent flooding. This aligns with the city's commitment to maintaining public utilities and ensuring environmental sustainability.

Work Details

The scope of work includes: - Replacement of approximately 225 linear feet of existing 48-inch corrugated plastic pipe (CPP) with new 48-inch CPP. - Installation of one 120-inch by 60-inch cleanout box and two 60-inch by 60-inch cleanout boxes. - Shoring in accordance with UPRR requirements. - Coordination and acquisition of all necessary UPRR permits. - Dewatering and bypass pumping to maintain continuous storm drain flows. - Connection of existing storm drain pipes to the proposed cleanout boxes. - All other incidental and appurtenant work necessary to complete the project.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to be substantially complete within 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

The project will be performed at 675 N UPRR MAIN ONE RD, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. They are not required to be pre-qualified for this work but must comply with all local licensing laws. Additionally, bidders must submit various forms including a Proposed Subcontractor Form, Work Under Contract Report, and Bidder Status Report upon request.
