Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor Paving Improvements

Background

The State of Hawaii, through the Department of Land and Natural Resources, is seeking contractors for the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor Paving Improvements project. The mission of the Department is to manage and protect Hawaii's natural resources while providing recreational opportunities. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure at Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for furnishing and paying for all materials, tools, equipment, labor, and other incidental work necessary for the following tasks: - Removal, hauling and disposal of demolition work - Asphalt concrete (AC) paving - Concrete paving - Curbing - Resurfacing - Striping - Signage installation - Drainage improvements - Any appurtenant work as required by the proposal. All work must comply with the specifications outlined in the Notice to Bidders, Information and Instructions to Bidders, Proposal, Detailed Specifications, Interim General Conditions, Plans, and any addenda related to this solicitation.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a specified period as detailed in the solicitation documents. The exact duration will be determined based on project requirements and contractor availability.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific qualifications including holding a valid contractor's license as per Chapter 444 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. Additionally, bidders must submit a written notice of intention to bid and provide a current tax clearance certificate from the Director of Taxation. Performance and payment bonds are required for contracts exceeding $25,000. Bidders must also ensure that they are not in arrears on existing contracts with the State or defaulted on previous contracts.
