Pavilion Reroof

Background

The State of Hawaii's Department of Land and Natural Resources, through its Division of State Parks, is seeking to procure services for the reroofing of the pavilion located at Aiea Bay State Recreation Area in Aiea, Oahu. The project aims to repair various structures and facilities within the recreation area, ensuring the pavilion is adequately protected from environmental elements.

Work Details

The scope of work includes installing standard corrugated roofing over existing plywood sheathing, flashing, and other incidental work. The base bid consists of furnishing and installing 24-gauge galvalume corrugated roofing with Kynar 500 finish in slate gray, along with necessary flashing, underlayment, and accessories to complete the roofing system. The contractor will be responsible for all materials, tools, equipment, labor, and other incidental work necessary for the completion of the project.

Period of Performance

The contract work must be completed within 45 consecutive calendar days from the date of written notice to proceed.

Aiea Bay State Recreation Area, Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractor’s license classification General B. Additionally, bidders are required to comply with various state laws including obtaining a tax clearance certificate from the Hawaii State Department of Taxation and a certificate of compliance from the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. Bidders must also ensure that Hawaii residents compose not less than eighty percent of the workforce employed on this project.
