The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is issuing this sources sought notice as a means of conducting market research to seek eligible contractors who are interested and capable of providing technical services to the Shipyard for repair of the Ship's Service Turbine Generators (SSTG) on board a Virginia-class submarine. Background The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is conducting market research to identify eligible contractors capable of providing technical services for the repair of Ship’s Service Turbine Generators (SSTG) on board a Virginia-class submarine. This sources sought notice is not a solicitation for proposals, nor is PHNSY & IMF seeking pricing or offers. The goal is to gather capability statements from interested parties to assess their ability to meet the requirements outlined in the DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW). Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Provide 30 days of qualified Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical assistance for each SSTG unit. 2. Disassemble, inspect, and repair No. One and No. Two SSTGs located in the engine room, following specific references and standards. 3. Conduct thorough inspections of various components including turbine bearings and rotor assemblies for signs of overheating or defects, documenting findings in reports. 4. Remove existing materials and install new components as specified in the contract documents. 5. Perform in-place machining and grinding to achieve final finishes on critical components, ensuring compliance with OEM specifications. 6. Execute SSTG static tuning, grooming, and testing while recording results accurately. 7. Ensure personnel involved in dynamic tuning are trained to monitor radiation exposure during operations.
