The District's mission includes maintaining the operational integrity of land management and recreational programs, which necessitates regular maintenance of roads and trails within conservation areas. This solicitation seeks qualified contractors to provide mowing services specifically for the Pablo Creek Conservation Area located in Duval County, FL, with an estimated budget of $45,000 for a three-year term.

Work Details

Contractors will provide batwing mowing services across approximately 31 miles of roads within the Pablo Creek Conservation Area. Mowing will occur nine times per year, specifically from April to October on a monthly basis, with additional mowings in December and February. No mowing will take place in November or January. Each mowing cycle must be spaced at least 20 days apart but no longer than 40 days since the previous cycle. The contractor is responsible for all labor, equipment, supervision, materials, and incidental expenses required to perform the services. Equipment must include a 4-wheel drive tractor with a minimum of 80 hp and a loader arm for clearing fallen trees, as well as a 15-foot flexible wing rotary cutter set to a cutting height of six inches. The contractor must also ensure that all equipment is mechanically sound and capable of safe operation.

Period of Performance

The contract will be executed over a three-year period starting from the date of contract execution.

Bidder Requirements

Respondents must have at least three years of experience in similar work and have successfully completed at least two similar projects within the last three years.
