2026/27 Purchase and Delivery of #2 Heating Oil

Background

Upper Gwynedd Township, located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, is issuing this solicitation on behalf of the Montgomery County Consortium of Municipal Managers. The goal of this contract is to procure approximately 63,400 gallons of #2 Heating Oil for ten municipalities within Montgomery County for a one-year period from August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2027.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the delivery and purchase of approximately 63,400 gallons of #2 Heating Oil. The oil must conform to ASTM D-396 standards with a maximum sulfur content of 0.20%. Delivery will be made to various municipal storage tanks as specified in the bid documents. Each municipality will order materials directly and will be responsible for payments. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond equal to 100% of the contract amount and a bid bond of 10% with each proposal. Deliveries are required within 48 hours of notification unless an emergency exists, in which case delivery must occur within 24 hours.

The contract period is from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027.

Bidder Requirements
