Background

The Town of Manchester is soliciting bids for Chemicals for Wastewater Treatment. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary chemicals for the operation of the wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and operational efficiency.

Work Details

The contractor will supply various chemicals including Sodium Hypochlorite, Magnesium Hydroxide, Sodium Permanganate, and Ferric Chloride. Specific requirements include: - **Sodium Hypochlorite**: Bulk shipments with an estimated annual quantity of 2,000 to 4,000 gallons. Delivery must be made to the Hockanum River Water Pollution Control Facility. - **Magnesium Hydroxide**: Specifications include a stabilized high purity aqueous suspension with specific alkalinity and solids range. - **Sodium Permanganate**: 20% solution supplied in 275-gallon totes with specific active solution percentages and physical properties. - **Ferric Chloride**: Used as a primary coagulant with specifications for appearance, FeCl concentration, and delivery requirements. All shipments must include a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and Certificate of Analysis (COA).

Period of Performance

The contract term shall be from August 1, 2026, up to and including July 31, 2027.

Bidder Requirements
