The City of Waterbury is seeking professional design services for the proposed construction of a new Fire Station 5. The scope of work includes: - Design Phase services for the new station - Bidding Phase services

Construction Administration Services

- All additional necessary associated services required for the successful completion of the new station The new Fire Station 5 is to be located and constructed on approximately 59,528 square feet (or 1.37 acres) of the Rotella Magnet School property on Pierpont Road in Waterbury, CT. Who is Requesting: The Waterbury Development Corporation (WDC) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP).

Background

The existing Station 5, currently located on East Main Street, has been assessed and it has been determined that renovation costs may not be the best use of resources when compared to constructing a new station. This RFP is issued to facilitate the design and construction of a new facility to better serve the community.

Contract Requirements

This contract will cover all phases necessary for the development of the new Fire Station 5, including but not limited to design, bidding, and construction administration, as well as any other associated services required.

Instructions on Submission

A Mandatory Information Session regarding this RFP will be held at 10:00 AM on May 20, 2026, in the lobby of Rotella Magnet School, located at 380 Pierpont Rd, Waterbury, Connecticut. Attendance at this session is required; those not attending will not be eligible to submit a proposal.
