Background

Southwest Technical College (STECH) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to design, fabricate, and install a training-focused IV Cleanroom suite for use in the Pharmacy Technician Program. The cleanroom will be utilized strictly for educational and simulation purposes, intentionally excluding certain regulatory systems while maintaining a realistic structural layout and workflow. The goal is to provide students with a hands-on learning environment that closely mirrors a real-world cleanroom.

Work Details

The project consists of a modular cleanroom suite, including one Ante Room (gowning area) and one Buffer Room (cleanroom). The combined footprint should be approximately 16 feet in length and 9 feet in width, with a wall height of 8 feet. The selected vendor shall provide all labor, materials, design, and services required to deliver a fully functional cleanroom training suite. Specific requirements include: - **Design & Layout:** Complete cleanroom layout including ante room and buffer room configuration, door placement, workflow, equipment placement (including hood), floor plan submission, 3D rendering or visual design, and equipment layout.

Cleanroom Construction

** Modular wall system (approx. 8 ft height), durable cleanable surfaces suitable for training use, clear or semi-clear panels for visibility (preferred), doors with viewing windows.

Required Features

** Pass-through box/window between the ante room and buffer room; buffer room space to accommodate one 6-foot Horizontal Laminar Air Flow Hood; ante room features including space for gowning activities and an optional sink or utility area.

Excluded Systems

** No ceiling system, HVAC integration, air pressure system, HEPA filtration or air-cleaning systems, or ISO classification requirements. - **Installation:** Delivery and on-site installation with coordination with the college for scheduling and minimal disruption to the existing facility.

Period of Performance

The resulting contract will be valid for one year from the award date.

Place of Performance

Southwest Technical College.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must provide both a design and cost proposal; demonstrate experience with cleanroom construction or modular lab/medical environments; be capable of fabrication, delivery, and installation.
