Jamestown Settlement Lobby Flooring Renovation

Background

The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is seeking bids for the renovation of the lobby flooring at the Jamestown Settlement located in Williamsburg, VA. The project aims to enhance the visitor experience by updating the lobby area, which is integral to the Foundation's mission of educating the public about American history.

Work Details

The project includes: 1) Removal and replacement of existing lobby and vestibule flooring; 2) Installation of conduit and floor boxes for power and data; 3) Addition of two new entry/exit doors at the adjacent gift shop; 4) Removal and replacement of twenty single entry/exit doors at the lobby vestibules with ten double entry/exit doors equipped with automatic openers.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to be completed within 60 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement as specified in the Notice to Proceed. Final completion is required within 30 consecutive calendar days after substantial completion.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Jamestown Settlement, located at 2110 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, Virginia, 23185.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA and include their Contractor’s License Class and Number in their bid submission. A Bid Bond is required for bids exceeding $500,000. Bidders must comply with Virginia's licensing requirements based on the contract value: - Class A for contracts over $120,000 or total construction values over $750,000; - Class B for contracts between $10,000 and $120,000 or total construction values between $150,000 and $750,000.
