DCR - VSP - Portable Planetarium

Background

The Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is seeking to establish a contract with a qualified vendor to provide and deliver a customized Portable Planetarium System. This initiative aims to enhance educational experiences through interactive demonstrations in astronomy and related fields.

Work Details

The contract requires the provision of one STARLAB Portable Planetarium system or an approved equivalent. The specifications include: - Digital Starlab 6m Dome with Blower, lightweight and fire-retardant with carrying case. - Satori 4K Saturn Package with PC Computer, 190-degree lens, 3.66 megapixels, 5500 lumen high brightness, Bluetooth Bose speaker system, with carrying case. - Starry Night, Layered Earth – Meteorology. - Digital Cylinder – Bundle of 5. - Open Source capability to run other software formatted in full dome format or for 360-degree viewing. - Starlab Hourly Remote Training (6 hours). All products must be new and unused, meeting or exceeding the specified requirements. Bids must include delivery costs listed separately and shipped FOB Destination.

Period of Performance

The supplier is required to deliver the Portable Planetarium System within 45 days of bid award or according to an agency-approved timeframe upon award.

Place of Performance

Delivery is required at Staunton River State Park, located at 1170 Staunton Trail, Scottsburg, VA 24589. The location requires liftgate delivery.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be manufacturers, authorized dealers, or distributors of the listed goods. All specifications/cut sheets must be included with bid documents. Bids are set aside for small businesses as per DSBSD certification guidelines.
