Background

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil & Gas Resources Management is issuing this solicitation for the plugging and plating of orphan wells as part of a federally funded project. The goal is to manage and remediate orphan wells in the Athens area, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: mobilization, access and well site development, drilling or cleaning out and plugging of ten (10) orphan wells, storage and disposal of all materials generated during the plugging process, decommissioning, removal, storage and disposal of all casing, tubing, well and production equipment along with affiliated lines. Additionally, the contractor must restore all areas disturbed during this project. Specific items to be provided include: - 10 mobilizations and demobilizations; - clearing and grubbing at various well sites including EE Linscott #1, Lucas #1 & #2, Phillips Fredrick #1, Conner Fred & Helen #1, Morris Pearl #1, Kasler AA #1; - installation of 1,915 linear feet of silt fence; - provision of 635 tons of No. 4 stone; - 75 tons of No. 2 stone; - 420 tons of No. 57 stone; - 295 tons of No. 304 aggregate base; - 20 tons of Type 'D' rip rap.
