Background

The Pittsylvania County Solid Waste Phase 3 project involves the construction of a new cell at the Pittsylvania County Sanitary Landfill, located in Dry Fork, Virginia. The project aims to enhance the landfill's capacity and infrastructure to comply with environmental regulations and improve waste management services in the region.

Work Details

The scope of work includes:

Gravel Access Roads

- Revegetation - Stormwater Conveyance Channels. The contractor will also be responsible for quality assurance and control, temporary facilities, and compliance with regulatory requirements as outlined in the technical specifications.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to be substantially completed within 240 days from the start date, with final completion required within 260 days.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the Pittsylvania County Sanitary Landfill located at 382 Rainbow Lane, Dry Fork, VA 24549.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a Responsible Land Disturber Certificate (RLD) and have experience constructing landfill Subtitle D liner systems and leachate collection systems. They must have completed at least two Subtitle D liner projects totaling 500,000 square feet within the last five years. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a bid security of 5% of their maximum bid price.
