Background

The Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority (the Authority) is seeking quotes for the repair and rehabilitation of the existing tankage at the Stone Robinson Water Resource Recovery Facility (SRWRRF). The goal of this contract is to ensure the facility's operational integrity and compliance with environmental standards by addressing deterioration in the tank structure.

Work Details

The scope of work includes: 1. Temporary pumping and hauling of wastewater while the facility is offline. 2. Removal of existing process equipment from the SRWRRF. 3. Sand blasting of interior metal surfaces and exterior surfaces extending 6 inches below grade. 4. Installation of metal fabrications to repair deteriorated steel on interior walls. 5. Application of coatings on all interior and exterior surfaces as specified in section 09 97 20 - Coating Systems for Wastewater Facilities. 6. Re-installation of existing process equipment as originally shown, followed by a 7-day operational performance review. 7. Restoration work to return all disturbed areas to pre-existing conditions at no additional cost to the Authority.

Period of Performance

The substantial completion date for this project is set for July 15, 2026, with work expected to be performed during regular hours from Monday to Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the Stone Robinson Water Resource Recovery Facility located at 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of adequate insurance upon award and participate in a safety meeting with the Owner’s Safety Manager prior to commencing work. Both the Contractor Company Safety Representative and On-Site Safety Representative must have at least OSHA 10 Certification.
