Background The Central Virginia VA Health Care System is soliciting generator rental services to meet NFPA Standards. The goal of this contract is to ensure reliable power supply for critical operations within the healthcare facility, particularly during emergencies. Work Details The vendor will provide a 1.5MW diesel generator rental with installation. The generator must be capable of carrying the full hospital's emergency power load within 10 seconds of startup to comply with NFPA 110 standards. Specific requirements include: - 1500kW (1.5MW) generator on a mobile trailer with an integrated fuel tank providing 24 hours of power generation at 75% load. - Multi Voltage selector switch (120/208 Volt 3 Phase and 277/480 Volt 3-Phase). - Fuel capacity: 1250 gallons. - Containerized, sound attenuated, weather-proof module. - Control Panel must parallel within 10 seconds. - Each Generator breaker should be at least 2000 Amps, with a tie breaker of at least 2600 Amps. - Diesel fuel provision: 5,200 gallons included with one fill-up. - Cables and connections include various types and lengths as specified in the detailed scope of work, ensuring all installations meet safety and compliance standards. Period of Performance Base Period: May 1, 2026 - April 30, 2027 Place of Performance Delivery and performance will occur at the Central Virginia VA Health Care System located at 1201 Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond VA 23249.
