Summary (Newest Update)

Background The National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC) is responsible for acquiring, storing, preserving, and exhibiting the material history of the Marine Corps, including fine art from 1775 to the present. The museum educates Marines on their traditions through exhibitions and serves as a resource for Marines, veterans, and the public. The NMMC's art collection includes fine art such as sculptures and prints that represent over two centuries of Marine experiences. This contract aims to provide professional fine art photography services to document and reproduce these artworks. Work Details The contractor will perform professional fine art photography and create reproductions of original paintings, drawings, and sketches. Key tasks include: 1. Conducting an intake meeting and site visit within 25 days of contract award to review artworks requiring photography. 2. Photographing and scanning up to 200 items over several days, ensuring minimal handling of fragile works. 3. Providing high-resolution digital images at specified resolutions (300dpi) for archival purposes, including various formats (TIF and JPG). 4. Delivering digital files via Dropbox within ten days post-session and providing an external hard drive with all files at the end of each contract year. 5. Producing proof prints for each work photographed. Period of Performance The period of performance spans five years from June 12, 2026, to June 11, 2031. Place of Performance The services will primarily be performed at the NMMC Museum Support Facility (MSF) located in Quantico, Virginia.
