Qualifications for Construction Administrator

Background

The Connecticut State Community College (CSCC) is seeking a Construction Administrator for the renovation of Kinney Hall, a four-level, 49,000 square foot facility constructed in 1977. This building is the oldest on the Naugatuck Valley campus and has not undergone significant improvements. The renovations aim to address academic advancements, student needs, campus safety, ADA compliance, and necessary infrastructure upgrades.

Work Details

The scope of work includes key accessibility upgrades such as the installation of elevators, renovation of restrooms, improved egress stairs, and ensuring barrier-free access. Additionally, there will be renovations or relocation of the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) to meet current licensing requirements, including an evaluation of outdoor playgrounds. The full renovation will involve replacing end-of-life equipment and ensuring compliance with current building, fire, and accessibility codes.

The work will be performed at Kinney Hall located at 750 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT.
