ERMT SCADA System

Background

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is inviting sealed bids for the construction of the East River Mountain Tunnel SCADA System located on I-77 in Bland County, Virginia. The project aims to design and update the SCADA system and make modifications to the control rooms at the East River Mountain Tunnel. This includes various types of work such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and other related tasks as specified in the contract documents and specifications.

Work Details

The scope of work includes: - Design and updates/modifications to the SCADA system for the East River Mountain Tunnel. - Electrical work related to the SCADA system. - Mechanical installations and modifications. - Plumbing adjustments as required for system integration. - Structural changes necessary for accommodating new equipment or systems. - Compliance with all relevant specifications outlined in the contract documents.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must be completed within a specified timeframe detailed in the contract documents.

The work will be performed at the East River Mountain Tunnel located on I-77 in Bland County, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA (Virginia's electronic procurement system). A five percent (5%) bid bond is required with each bid submission. Bidders must comply with licensing requirements as per Virginia law; specifically, they must be licensed as either a Class A or Class B contractor depending on the total value of their bid. Additionally, bidders are required to complete a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) for access to critical infrastructure information related to this project.
