Background

Coshocton County is seeking a consultant for the preparation of construction contract plans for the rehabilitation of an existing bridge on County Road 28. The project aims to enhance infrastructure within the county, aligning with the agency's mission to maintain and improve transportation facilities.

Work Details

The services required include preparation of construction contract plans for the rehabilitation of an existing bridge (SFN 1630024) on County Road 28, with a project length of approximately 0.07 miles. The estimated construction cost is $3,377,000. The consultant must provide engineering and design-related services including program management, construction management, feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, design engineering, surveying, mapping, and architectural services as defined by relevant federal and state regulations. Specific design services include non-complex roadway design and Level 2 bridge design. Additionally, compliance with financial management system evaluation requirements is necessary for both the prime consultant and any subconsultants involved in these services.

Period of Performance

The anticipated date of authorization for the selected consultant is October 2026, with plans to be completed and filed with Coshocton County within twenty-four (24) months from the date of authorization.

Bidder Requirements

Consultants must meet prequalification requirements set by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). Only individuals are eligible for right-of-way acquisition services. Firms included on the current Federal list of firms suspended or debarred are not eligible for selection. The selected consultants must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 ensuring non-discrimination in contracting.
