Tusarawas County Project

Background

The Tuscarawas County Engineer is seeking a consultant for the construction project TUS-CR62-0.70, which involves the complete bridge replacement and realignment of County Road 62 over the Tuscarawas River. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective construction inspection and administration services for this federally funded project, enhancing transportation infrastructure in the region.

Work Details

The services required under this contract include: 1. Construction Inspection and Administration services for the complete bridge replacement and realignment of County Road 62 over the Tuscarawas River. 2. Additional work includes pavement, guardrail installation, drainage improvements, sidewalk construction, cul-de-sac and connector roads construction, signing and striping. 3. The project also involves adding a right turn lane, widening, and resurfacing along US Route 36. 4. The estimated construction cost is $10,477,553.00. 5. Required personnel include: - Project Inspector 1 (1) - Project Structures Inspector (1) - Construction Engineer Level 2 (part-time as needed) - Documentation Clerk (1) 6. Compliance with ODOT’s Construction Administration Manual of Procedures is mandatory.

Period of Performance

Construction is expected to begin in June 2026 and be completed no later than December 2027.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed in Tuscarawas County, Ohio.

Bidder Requirements

Consultants must meet prequalification requirements set by ODOT for various categories including engineering and design-related services. Only individuals (not firms) are eligible for prequalified construction inspection activities. Firms on the current Federal list of suspended or debarred firms are not eligible for selection.
