Background

Broward County’s Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB/Visit Lauderdale) is the official tourism marketing agency for Broward County, Florida. The agency aims to increase leisure travel from Brazil to Greater Fort Lauderdale by contracting a project specialist to promote the destination among Brazilian tour operators, travel advisors, and public relations professionals. This contract is intended for partial Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) and full Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27), from June 2026 through September 2027.

Work Details

The project specialist will be responsible for implementing targeted marketing initiatives and conducting promotional activities as directed by Visit Lauderdale. Key responsibilities include: 1. Building awareness of the Visit Lauderdale brand - 'Never lose your splash.' 2. Establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Brazilian travel industry to enhance product development and marketing collaboration. 3. Cultivating business for hospitality partners in Broward County and generating measurable increases in room nights from Brazil. 4. Managing attendance at trade shows such as Asociación Brasilero Agencia Viaje and Azul Ta On, including registration, booth decoration, and staffing. 5. Coordinating bespoke sales missions with tour operators in Brazil, securing appointments, and managing events. 6. Conducting activations/trainings with Brazilian tour operators. 7. Providing research, trends, and updates on outbound travel from Brazil to Greater Fort Lauderdale every three months. 8. Delivering updated lists of top producing Brazilian operators every six months.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from June 2026 through September 2027.

Place of Performance

The project will be managed in various cities throughout Brazil as determined by Visit Lauderdale based on event locations.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must demonstrate the ability to manage projects similar in nature and scope over the past five years, provide references for similar work performed, and submit an itemized breakdown of event expenses including registration fees, travel costs, and other related expenses.
