Background

Halifax Hospital Medical Center, doing business as Halifax Health, is a special taxing district hospital that operates three inpatient facilities with a combined total of 673 beds. The main campus in Daytona Beach includes specialized services such as a Level III neonatal intensive care center and a Level II state-certified trauma center. Halifax Health is seeking qualified valet parking firms to provide complimentary valet parking services for patients and visitors at the Halifax Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to enhance patient and visitor experience through efficient parking services.

Work Details

The selected vendor will provide complimentary valet parking services at Halifax Medical Center, utilizing two separate valet kiosks during specified hours: France Tower portico area from 8 AM to 4 PM and Fountain Tower portico area from 8 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday. Valet services may be adjusted based on demand or special events, and are generally not offered on major holidays. The vendor must propose staffing rates for one onsite supervisor and two valet attendants, with the supervisor also acting as an attendant during peak times. All operational equipment, supplies, uniforms, and claim ticket stock must be agreed upon in advance and included in monthly invoices. Additionally, the vendor will need to provide a redacted invoice from a similar operation detailing all associated costs including payroll and operational expenses.

Period of Performance

The estimated period of performance for the contract is three years with an option for one additional year upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at Halifax Medical Center located at 303 N. Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including obtaining necessary licenses for the scope of services. Proposals must include proof of insurance naming Halifax Health as an additional insured. Vendors must also submit various certifications including a Sworn Statement on Public Entities Crimes, Scrutinized Company Certification, Foreign Countries of Concern Affidavit, Human Trafficking Attestation, and Proposer References Form.
