Healthy Utah Program Contract Award

Background

The Utah Department of Health and Human Services, through the Division of Purchasing, intends to award a contract to Get Healthy Utah for the management and implementation of the Healthy Utah Community designation program. This initiative aims to combat rising rates of chronic diseases in Utah by collaborating with cities to implement evidence-based health strategies and improve access to healthy food, physical activity, and mental health resources. The program received a one-time legislative appropriation for FY27.

Work Details

The contract will involve the following services: - Management and implementation of the Healthy Utah Community designation program. - Working with cities to reverse increasing rates of chronic disease by implementing evidence-based health strategies. The estimated value of the contract is $250,000. The program aims to designate additional cities and towns as Healthy Utah Communities, building on the success of previous designations where 56 cities have earned this status and over 500 health strategies have been implemented.

Period of Performance

The term of this contract is 1 year with options for 4 renewals.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed throughout various communities in Utah.

Get Healthy Utah is identified as the sole source for this procurement item due to its unique infrastructure and established relationships with the Utah League of Cities and Towns. No other vendors were found that could provide comparable services.
