Fire Sprinkler System Services

Background

Sarasota County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, is seeking a contractor to provide fire sprinkler system services, including inspection, repair, and installation at various County-owned and/or operated facilities. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and compliance of fire protection systems throughout the County's facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will provide services categorized into four groups: 1. Annual Inspection of Fire Sprinkler Systems 2. Five-Year Inspection of Fire Sprinkler Systems 3. Repair Services for Fire Sprinkler Systems 4. Installation Services for Fire Sprinkler Systems. Specific tasks include conducting functional testing on all fire sprinkler systems and devices as per NFPA standards; performing annual and five-year inspections; documenting the condition of sprinkler system components; notifying the County of required repairs or replacements; providing 24/7 repair services; submitting backflow test results electronically; obtaining necessary permits for installations; and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Period of Performance

The initial contract term is anticipated to be three years.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various facilities owned and/or operated by Sarasota County.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have either a Fire Protection System Contractor I or II License issued by the Florida Department of Financial Services Division of State Fire Marshal. They must provide verifiable references demonstrating experience in fire sprinkler system services within the past seven years. Additionally, bidders must comply with all insurance requirements and submit proof of required licenses or certifications within three business days upon request.
