The Minneapolis Health Care System requires Mobile Functional Electrical Stimulation Therapy System and Functional Electrical Stimulation Cycle system with the Salient Characteristics listed below. This is a sources sought looking for businesses to provide the supplies listed below for market research purposes. No awards of a contract will be made from this announcement. Failure to respond to the following questions may affect the acquisition strategy. 1. Identify your organization's socio-economic category. 2. Identify the brand name equipment and if your organization is the manufacturer of the requested equipment. If you are not the manufacturer, identify the manufacturer of the equipment that you will provide, their socio-economic category and a letter showing that your organization is an authorized distributor for the requested supplies. 3. If the product is a US domestic end product, write in USA for the item's country of origin. 4. Background The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) is seeking to procure equipment for Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. The goal of this contract is to enhance the rehabilitation capabilities for Veterans, particularly those with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions. The equipment will assist in promoting blood circulation, muscle strengthening, and overall functional activity in neurologically impaired patients. Work Details The contract involves the procurement of a Mobile Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) Therapy System and a Functional Electrical Stimulation Cycle Exercise System. The salient characteristics required include: - Brand name or equal to RTI FES Cycle manufactured by Restorative Therapies: - Provides real-time biofeedback - Uses integrated functional electrical stimulation targeting various muscle groups - Minimum of 12 channels of stimulation - Features such as auto-progression, remote adjustability, and portability with wheels - Brand name or equal to Xcite2 manufactured by Restorative Therapies: - 12 channels of FES - Battery-powered with mobile therapy cart - Includes stimulation cables and electrodes - Onsite training and advanced course scholarships for CEUs. The systems must support Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training and provide high-repetition practice for neuromuscular re-education. A detailed list of therapy protocols for upper extremity (UE), lower extremity (LE), and general activities is included, along with the ability to track patient progress during rehabilitation.
