City of Miamisburg Project

Background

The City of Miamisburg is issuing a solicitation for the replacement of an existing traffic signal at the intersection of State Route 725 and South Heincke Road. The project aims to enhance pedestrian facilities to meet ADA requirements and improve drainage in the area. The estimated construction cost for this project is $600,000.

Work Details

The services required under this contract include preparation of construction contract plans, right-of-way plans, and legal descriptions for the traffic signal replacement. Specific tasks include: - Replacing the existing mast-arm traffic signal - Improving pedestrian facilities to comply with ADA standards - Constructing minor drainage improvements - Establishing a pedestrian connection along the east side of South Heincke Road between State Route 725 and East Central Avenue Additionally, design services will encompass non-complex roadway design, subsurface utility location services, limited right-of-way plan development, and traffic signal system design.

Period of Performance

The anticipated date for authorization to proceed is July 2026, with an estimated construction start date of March 6, 2028. Completion is expected by August 25, 2028.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must meet prequalification requirements set by ODOT for engineering and design-related services. This includes having individuals prequalified for right-of-way acquisition services if applicable. The prime consultant and all subconsultants providing engineering and design-related services must also be prequalified in Financial Management System Evaluation to comply with federal requirements.
