Visit Rhode Island Tourism Analytics and Impact Reporting

Background

The Rhode Island Commerce Corporation (the Corporation) is focused on advancing the state's economy through tourism promotion, economic development programming, and strategic partnerships. This RFP seeks to establish a more integrated tourism analytics and impact reporting solution that can support multiple users, data sources, reporting needs, and decision-making contexts. The Corporation currently relies on various data sources and manual reporting processes, necessitating a comprehensive solution to monitor tourism performance and produce annual economic impact reports.

Work Details

The selected Proposer will provide a full-service tourism analytics platform that includes: 1) **Dashboard Platform, Data Integration, and Management**: Conduct discovery to confirm business requirements; provide a working dashboard solution with user access; manage data ingestion and harmonization; integrate tourism intelligence data; and create dashboards for performance monitoring. 2) **Monthly Reporting, Analysis, and Support**: Provide recurring analysis support, maintain a monthly operating cadence for data refreshes and reporting delivery, and offer training for Corporation staff. 3) **Annual Tourism Economic Impact Report**: Prepare an annual report covering visitor volumes, spending, economic impacts, jobs supported, tax impacts, and provide historical trend tables. The Proposer must also include a Data Source Responsibility Matrix outlining the sources of data used in the analytics environment.

Period of Performance

The initial contract term is expected to begin upon contract execution and run until December 31, 2026. The Corporation may renew the contract for up to two additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed in Rhode Island as required by the Corporation.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers must demonstrate strong experience in tourism analytics, data integration, dashboard/reporting environments, annual tourism economic impact reporting, and navigating multiple stakeholder groups. They must also comply with MBE/WBE/DisBE participation requirements as outlined by the Corporation.
