Background

Work Details

The Worker's Compensation Counsel will provide comprehensive legal services including: advising the East Orange Board of Education on worker's compensation matters, representing the board in hearings related to worker's compensation claims, developing strategies and solutions for claims, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The counsel must possess a deep understanding of worker's compensation law and be able to navigate complex legal scenarios.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed during the 2026-2027 school year.

Place of Performance

East Orange, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements

Respondents must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. Additionally, all respondents are required to submit a Non-Collusion Affidavit with their proposal. They must also provide proof of business registration as per N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and evidence of adequate Workers Compensation Insurance as required by New Jersey law.
