Commodity Processed Items for HIDOE Cafeterias

Background

The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) is seeking a qualified statewide distributor to furnish and deliver processed items made from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) commodities to various HIDOE cafeterias across the state. This initiative aims to support the nutritional needs of students by providing high-quality food products that comply with USDA standards. The contract will ensure that these products are delivered efficiently and effectively to schools under HIDOE's jurisdiction, which includes Oahu, Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Kauai.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for delivering a range of USDA commodity processed items, including but not limited to: 1. Cheese Stuffed Breadsticks - Bulk pack containing approximately 112 servings per case. 2. Breakfast Pizza - All beef with red sauce, individually wrapped, approximately 144 servings per case. 3. Pepperoni Pizza - Pre-cut into 10 slices, approximately 90 slices per case. 4. Four-Cheese Pizza - Pre-cut into 10 slices, approximately 90 slices per case. 5. Deep Dish Pepperoni Pizza - Individually wrapped, approximately 80 servings per case. 6. Deep Dish Cheese Pizza - Individually wrapped, approximately 80 servings per case. 7. Cheese Bites - Bulk pack containing approximately 240 pieces per case. 8. Reduced Sodium Cheese Sauce - Shelf stable with approximately 212 servings per case. 9. Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheese Slices - Approximately 380 slices per case. 10. Reduced Fat Colby-Jack Cheese Cubes - Approximately 200 individually wrapped bags per case. 11. Marinara Dipping Sauce - Approximately 84 cups per case. 12. Naturally Balanced Low Sodium Ketchup - Approximately 1000 packets or 6 #10 cans per case. 13. Dark Turkey Slices - Fully cooked and frozen, approximately five two-pound packages per case. 14. Roasted Turkey Breast - Fully cooked and frozen, approximately nine four to five-pound packages per case.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to last for one year with options for renewal based on performance and mutual agreement between the contractor and HIDOE.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed statewide across all islands under the jurisdiction of the Hawaii State Department of Education: Oahu, Hawaii (Big Island), Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Kauai.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must be registered on the HIePRO system to participate in this procurement process. Additionally, they must comply with the Buy American provision which requires purchasing domestically produced foods whenever possible. Offerors should also have a written assignment from their processor to act as their billing agent and maintain a tracking system for all USDA foods from receipt through delivery.
