Emergency Response Sport Utility Vehicles

Background

The County of Hawai'i is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #26-0245 for the procurement of Emergency Response Sport Utility Vehicles. Work Details

The contract requires the furnishing and delivery of two (2) full-size sport utility vehicles (SUVs) for the Hawaii Fire Department. The vehicles must be new, latest model year, four-door, four-wheel drive (4X4), with a minimum six-cylinder engine and hard-top design. Specific requirements include: - Engine: V-6 cylinder or larger with a minimum of 400 horsepower and 480 lb.-ft. torque. - Transmission: Minimum ten-speed automatic with overdrive. - Interior: Seating capacity for 8, with front bucket seats and folding rear seats. - Accessories: Must comply with all Federal, State, and OSHA regulations. Delivery must include manuals and a minimum thirty-six (36) month bumper-to-bumper warranty. Delivery location is specified as Fire - Warehouse 466 Kinoole St Hilo, HI 96720.

Period of Performance

The delivery of the vehicles must occur within 180 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed to convey and sell motor vehicles in accordance with all State and County laws and regulations. No bid bonds or performance bonds are required for this IFB. Bidders are also required to submit proof of compliance with various state laws regarding tax clearance, unemployment insurance, workers' compensation, temporary disability insurance, prepaid health care, and business registration.
