Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), 4X4 V6 ENGINE

Background

The County of Hawai'i is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the procurement of a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) with a 4X4 V6 engine. This solicitation is part of the County's efforts to enhance its Parks and Recreation Division's operational capabilities. The vehicle will be utilized by the Recreation Division to support various recreational activities and services within the community.

Work Details

The contract requires the delivery of one (1) new Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), 4X4 V6 engine, meeting the following specifications: - Latest model year, not a demonstrator. - Aesthetically pleasing design with high-quality workmanship. - Must be fully assembled, serviced, and in good running order upon delivery. - Delivery must occur within 180 days from the date of Notice to Proceed. - The vehicle must include standard manufacturer accessories and comply with all Federal, State, and OSHA regulations. - Required accessories include rain guard vent shades on all applicable doors. - Each vehicle must come with a full tank of fuel and appropriate owner’s, repair, and parts manuals. - Warranty coverage must be at least thirty-six (36) months/36,000 miles bumper-to-bumper. - The vehicle should have a minimum 2.7L Turbocharged V6 engine, 10-speed automatic transmission, power windows/locks, and meet specified safety standards including ABS brakes.

Period of Performance

The period of performance for this contract is expected to commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and must be completed within 180 days.

Place of Performance

The vehicle is to be delivered to the Automotive Division located at 630 E. Lanikaula Street, Hilo, HI 96720.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific licensing requirements as outlined in the solicitation documents. No bid bonds or performance bonds are required for this IFB. Bidders are also required to submit proof of compliance with tax clearance and other regulatory requirements if awarded a contract exceeding $2,500.
