Legal Services Special Education Counsel - REPOSTED

Background

The East Orange Board of Education in East Orange, New Jersey is seeking proposals for legal services specifically for the role of Special Education Counsel for the 2026-2027 school year. Work Details

The successful applicant will provide legal counsel and representation concerning special education laws, including but not limited to compliance with federal and state regulations, guidance on IEPs, and representation in legal disputes related to special education. Applicants must demonstrate experience in special education law and a thorough understanding of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Proposals should outline qualifications, experience, and approach to providing these services.

Services will be performed within the East Orange School District in New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements

Interested parties must be qualified legal professionals or firms with experience in special education law. Proposals must include a comprehensive outline of qualifications and experience. All respondents are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq., and submit a Non-Collusion Affidavit. Additionally, vendors must provide a completed Chapter 271 Political Contribution Disclosure Form with their proposal.
