Background

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) is seeking qualified contractors to perform dredging at the Susitna Landing Boat Launch Ramp. The purpose of this contract is to maintain safe access for recreational boating anglers accessing the Kashwitna River. This access has been compromised due to sediment accumulation from fall flooding and high-water events.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Use an excavator to remove approximately 300 cubic yards of material from the boat launch ramp. 2. Load all removed materials directly into a dump truck. 3. Deposit the materials at a designated upland site at the Susitna Landing facility to prevent sediment reintroduction into the Kashwitna River. 4. Ensure that the riverbed within the dredged areas is sloped to drain into the active channel of the Kashwitna River, preventing fish entrapment during low water periods.

Period of Performance

All work must be completed by June 15, 2026.

Place of Performance

Susitna Landing, located at 14400 E. Susitna Landing Road, Willow, Alaska 99688.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a valid Alaska business license and comply with all applicable federal, state, and borough regulations, codes, and laws. Additionally, bidders must provide evidence of their qualifications and may need to submit a list of subcontractors within five working days of notice from the state.
