Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Services

Background

The Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake & Sandy (Metro Water) is seeking to enter into a contract for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the reliability and functionality of Metro Water's UPS equipment, which is critical for maintaining operations. The contract will span approximately five years, focusing on preventive maintenance, repairs, and new installations as needed.

Work Details

The selected vendor will provide the following services: annual preventive maintenance, occasional repair services, and as-needed new installations for UPS equipment ranging from 10 kVA to 375 kVA. Services will be issued through task or purchase orders as required. Specific tasks include battery replacement, load testing, emergency response, and other related services. Vendors must confirm their status as authorized service providers for manufacturers such as Toshiba, Mitsubishi, APC, and Liebert. A detailed price proposal must include costs for annual preventive maintenance on a 25 kVA UPS unit, battery replacement per manufacturer, regular and after-hours service rates, and expected lead times for parts and services.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective upon signing and will terminate on June 30, 2031.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations within Metro Water’s system in Salt Lake County.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must demonstrate experience in servicing UPS equipment and provide technical qualifications including licenses and certifications. They are required to submit a detailed proposal that includes their years in business, number of employees, confirmation of service capability within Salt Lake County, a list of all available services related to UPS systems, and compliance with insurance requirements outlined in the solicitation.
