The I-195 Redevelopment District was established in late 2011 to oversee the redevelopment of land in downtown Providence, freed up by the relocation of Interstate 195. Work Details

The selected firm(s) will provide urban planning and design consulting services, which include: - Tactical advice on the District's build-out - Design review of potential projects - Collaboration with prospective developers - Presentations to the Commission and public

Oversight of the Design Review Panel

- Support for the implementation of the Development Plan (land use regulations) - Leading various planning initiatives - Project management across multiple projects The consultant will also advise on urban planning topics such as infrastructure, public amenities, landscape design, lighting, parking and traffic management, zoning compliance, and placemaking.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed on an on-call basis with specific work orders approved by the District as needed. Regular communication is expected to occur frequently throughout the engagement.

The services will be performed within the I-195 Redevelopment District located in downtown Providence, Rhode Island.

Bidder Requirements
