Polihale aggregate delivery

Background

The Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, is issuing this contract for the purpose of delivering rock aggregate to Polihale State Park in Kauai, Hawaii. The goal of the contract is to furnish 500 tons of 4-inch minus rock aggregate to support park maintenance and development efforts.

Work Details

The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, and transportation necessary to deliver a total of 500 tons of 4-inch minus rock aggregate. Specifically, 100 tons will be delivered to a site located 1.5 miles along the Polihale access road, and 400 tons will be delivered to another site located 0.45 miles along the same road. The contractor must ensure that all work is conducted safely and with minimal disruption to public traffic.

Period of Performance

The contract is for a one-time purchase and delivery of materials. Work must commence within ten calendar days following the notice to proceed issued by the Department of Land and Natural Resources.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must be certified through Hawaii Compliance Express (HCE) and maintain a permanent office location in Hawaii for communication regarding complaints or requests. The contractor must also have adequate equipment and personnel to complete the work as specified.
