Background

The Salt Lake City Department of Airports (SLCDA) is seeking Statements of Qualifications and Experience from qualified firms to provide Steel Testing and Inspection Services at the Salt Lake City International Airport, South Valley Regional Airport, and Tooele Valley Airport. The goal is to contract with a single firm for on-call services as needed, without guaranteeing specific service requirements. This contract will not include work related to the Airport Redevelopment Program.

Work Details

The selected firm will provide all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, transportation, equipment, and services necessary for steel testing and inspection services. Specific tasks include: 1) Familiarizing with project specifications; 2) Investigating personnel qualifications and fabrication shop capabilities; 3) Inspecting fabrication work and documenting results; 4) Performing inspections at job sites to ensure compliance with plans; 5) Providing written documentation of inspections and tests; 6) Preparing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs); 7) Maintaining project files for FAA audits; 8) Coordinating with SLCDA staff; 9) Complying with safety regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, for a period of three years, with the option for two one-year extensions.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the Salt Lake City International Airport, South Valley Regional Airport, and Tooele Valley Airport.

Bidder Requirements

Respondents must have a permanent local office in the Salt Lake City area or along the Wasatch Front. They must be in good standing regarding prior agreements with the City. Respondents are required to execute the attached Agreement Form without exceptions. Additionally, they must register with the Utah Department of Commerce and maintain that registration throughout the term of the Agreement.
